Don't touch the kernel, please, if you need space there's other places you can chop and vandalize. There's a reason you always have two version of the kernel in the system. And apt always tells you to remove the old (3rd one) when you upgrade it.
apt has space to fix itself, why didn't you answer Y (yes) when you ran sudo apt install -f?
If you have Freya, you'd have to have the 64-bit version to install Brave since there is no 32-bit version of Brave for Linux. If you do have 64-bit Freya, you can try the Ubuntu instructions here:
If you have 32-bit Freya, like I do, you won't be able to install Brave.
Please not that with the next release of Gala screenshots will be stored in a ~/Pictures/Screenshots/ folder.
Gala is elementary OS's window manager and the thing that's responsible for taking screenshots.
This was fixed in this PR: https://github.com/elementary/gala/pull/459
Currently we're on Gala version 0.3.2.
I was facing the same problem with SqlWorkbenchJ. I fixed it putting the .png image set in sqlworkbench.desktop under "Icon" into the directory /usr/share/pixmaps.
After that, the application started to show the proper icon either in plank dock and applications menu.
Hope it helps.
You should install TLP and Thermald
Be careful, TLP is NOT compatible with acpid or Laptop_mode_tools.
One more tweak:
open a terminal and type
gksu gedit /etc/default/grub
then look for
finally save and close gedit
after that write in the terminal:
Reboot and done.
