How can I remove the dock in elementaryOS?
That is: get rid of it completely in the least amounts of, ideally reversible, steps, without breaking anything.
I found a few older questions such as How to Disable Plank
However I figured I post this again because:
- they are all more than 5 years old and I assume that elementaryOS and plank have evolved quite a bit since then.
- Unlike all other questions, I do not want to replace plank with anything, I just want a cleaner desktop. I would not mind plank remaining installed on my system though, if there are any deps/issues otherwise.
