I’ve recently installed elementary and computer is now no-longer getting any WiFi connections.

I have a RTL8821CE PCIe Wireless Network Adapter. And any time I run sudo apt upgrade && sudo apt update, bc it says it cannot resolve any of the packages.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks very much

Additionally, I cannot check the app store for updates, it gives the following error

E: https://packages.elementary.io/appcenter bionic InRelease is not (yet) available (Temporary failure reolving ‘packages.elementary.io)

I assume this probable has to do with the WiFi as well

  • Some wifi adapters, while working on installations, doesn't work after the first reboot. You should connect your computer to the internet with a mobile phone and USB cable, after which you should google exactly what package you need for the wifi adapter in question and install it. Alternatively, you could install the Synaptic package manager and try to find the required package there. I have the same issue on my laptop but with the Broadcom adapter so I cannot point you to the right package. – Guest Dec 27 '20 at 7:41
