I am definitely stuck with the problem. I may change user session screen resolution easily, but the greeter stays with ugly unreadable microscopic text. I have read multiple "solutions" neither of which works for Elementary OS. I have changed the "/usr/share/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d/40-io.elementary.greeter.conf" file via adding the last string "greeter-setup-script=/usr/share/lightdmxrandr.sh" (I have checked -- this script DOES change screen resolution). To no effect...

May you, please, make screen resolution modification more human-oriented?

Kind regards, Vadim.

  • I cannot understand why absolutely all vendors make so much effort to keep linux alien to its potential users. Is it so hard to add a single check box: "Use this resolution for Login screen as well."? – Vadim Maksimenko Jun 18 '20 at 9:08
