I'm thinking of buying a 2020 Mac mini. I can't get out of the Apple ecosystem just yet, but later on, I'd like to switch to something more open like Linux.

I've read a lot of things about Apple's new T2 chip. Many old articles unfortunately. So can someone here tell me if, as of today, it is possible to really install Linux on a Mac with a T2 chip ? (And not just boot it from an external device).

I'm might consider buying something else if buying this computer means staying stuck in the Apple ecosystem for the years to come.
