I have been using eOS for almost a year now for my daily use and have been loving it. However, recently when running a routine apt upgrade, I noticed I'm running out of disk space. After looking around, it was the root file (20GB size) which was running out of space.

For installation, I used the following link: https://itsfoss.com/guide-install-elementary-os-luna/

The only solution I see now is to either resize the root folder or change the location of app installations. I know how to resize partitions, but does anyone know how to change the location of app installations to the home partition?

P.S: The Snap installations are done in the /home partition and therefore pose no problem. The issue is for the installations from the AppCenter
