Trying installing Elementary OS linux distro as dual boot on my xps 13 Inspiron 2in1.

I followed all the steps in this post (https://www.dell.com/support/article/pt-br/sln301754/como-instalar-ubuntu-e-windows-8-ou-10-como-uma-inicialização-dupla-no-seu-pc-dell?lang=pt) and this video (https://youtu.be/MSVV_EoApdo) which is the same. I chose option 9.i installing alongisde windows (and therefore skipping 10-13) and successfully got to step 19.

The problem I have is that when I reboot the system I don’t get the GRUB menu to select the OS I want to boot into and the machine goes straight to windows.

I have checked the BIOS settings and I have selected ubuntu as one of the options (the others being Windows Boot Manager and Windows) but I don’t get the option to select the boot.

Bios Options

bcdedit /enum

downloaded this utility to manage the dual boot but it seems that there are limitations on new platforms using UEFI: https://neosmart.net/wiki/easybcd/uefi/?utm_source=EasyBCD&utm_medium=software&utm_campaign=EasyBCD%20EFI

I've looked at several posts on StockExchange and elsewhere but none seems to have the solution for this problem.

any suggestions on how to debug/solve this issue? has anyone successfully installed Elementary OS as dual boot on a similar machine and how?

thanks
