I'm new to elementary OS. My SSD recently died so I figured I would finally make the switch to Linux. I have a Radeon RX Vega 56 in an eGPU that I use with my Lenovo X1 Carbon. Is it possible to get the necessary drivers for this card on this OS, or will I have to create a separate partition with a compatible OS listed on the site?

  • AMD cards should work out of the box, no drivers required. At least that's how it worked out for me. I've got an eGPU with an RX 580. The hardest part was getting Thunderbolt configured correctly in the BIOS settings. But I didn't have to install anything. – wout Dec 23 '20 at 11:58
