Wifi is able to detect my AP but not able to connect. It tries to connect for a few seconds before being dropped with an error prompt "Disconnected Wireless Network"

Using wireless RTL8188EE wireless adapter

Tried reinstalling driver using https://github.com/lwfinger/rtlwifi_new

Also tried a few solutions here pertaining to driver but none seem to solve my problem
