  • I have an HP Elite X2 1012 G1 with Thunderbolt 3.1 (Alpine Ridge, I think).
  • I'm dual booting and use a J5 Create dock with 2 external HDMI/DVI displays.
  • The security setting for Thunderbolt is the least security available in the BIOS.
  • Linux Kernel is 5

Problem: Running Win 10, there are no issues using the external monitors. In Elementary, I can only use USB devices. The DVI/HDMI outputs are visible to xrandr but not available to use by xrandr or the OS

I've tried using echo 1 | sudo tee /sys/bus/wmi/devices/86CCFD48-205E-4A77-9C48-2021CBEDE341/force_power to force the power up since sometimes boltctl shows it as disconnected.

I'd really like to get these displays working in EoS
