I've been wondering if there's a way to preload / cache the Application Menus's contents, since they are first read when one hits the Super key (or Super-space), and in slower machines or slower HDDs (laptops), this causes an up to 2 seconds gap between calling the Applications Menu and it actually getting displayed if the machine is busy.

Keeping it persistent in memory doesn't seem like wasted memory to me, if one considers it an addition to user experience.
