I have been trying to play a DVD several times since Loki, but I have never been able to mount the disk.

I have used the included Videos app, VLC, and Totem. I have installed ubuntu-restricted extras and libdvd-pkg, then used dpkg-reconfigure libdvd-pkg. I have libdvdcss2, libdvdread4, and libdvdnav4.

I always get this when browsing to the disk in Files, Videos, and Totem: "mount: /media/mydvd: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sr0, missing codepage or helper program, or other error."

Do I just have bad hardware or do I need to set up the DVD drive somehow?
