Whenever I arrange the displays in the system settings to be on top of each other the top display is forced to the left or right of the bottom display. as a result the displays are not vertically not possible to be on top of each other.

  • I finally managed to things setup to have the laptop screen at the bottom and the external screen on top by very slowly moving the laptop screen more and more underneath the external screen in the display settings. – Lukas Kahwe Smith Dec 3 '18 at 18:36
