some time ago I installed 381 Nvidia driver, which fixed issues of shutdown and suspend

yesterday I run app center updates and I saw that the driver went back to 375 (which resurrected the suspend issues)

why have the drivers changed? and is this an expected behaviour for each update? thanks

  • Could be some autodetection feature rolling back to a previous driver due to some incompatibility. I would wait for a driver newer than 381 and try installing that – RobotUnderscore Jun 10 '17 at 18:18
  • thanks man. the 381 is fine, it just caused me few hours of frustration till i remembered to check that nvidia version. The funny thing is that it messes up the restart even if you don't use nvidia card – Mike Rodov Jun 10 '17 at 18:51
